GOBI was pleased to take part in the IUCN WCPA’s Beyond the Aichi Targets Task Force Marine Conservation Consultation meeting, held at the Maison des Océans in Paris on 16 & 17 October 2018.  The meeting focused on future ambitions for MPA coverage, issues associated with connectivity in the marine realm, and on ways to communicate the urgent need to protect the ocean ecosystem.
The meeting was the third in a series of three consultation meetings held by the Task Force, and the outputs of discussion will inform a fourth event to be held in Washington, DC, that will formulate recommendations for CBD COP15 in 2020.
